Please ONLY park outside the fishery along the access road from the council tip but do not block either the main gate or access gates to the river bank. If you do enter the fishery to birdwatch please ask permission at the shop/cafe first. Access has been tolerated here in the past with good behaviour and correct parking being adhered to.
Linghurst Lakes - Parish Park
The Linghurst Lakes (Parish Park) area is a private recreation area for use by members of the local parish and is managed by Lound Parish Council. Access to local birdwatchers is strictly by invitation only to monitor and record birds and wildlife and there is NO general public access or right of way here other than along nearby Neatholme Lane. Lound Sewage Works
Access into Lound Sewage Works is strictly forbidden as this is a working water treatment plant. The access road from the village is a shared private road.
Blaco Farm & Pits
THIS IS A PRIVATE FARM AND ALSO A PRIVATE RESTORED GRAVEL QUARRY WITH LIMITED BUT WELCOMED ACCESS TO WELL BEHAVED BIRDWATCHERS. WHILST VISITING THE BLACO AREA PLEASE REMAIN ONLY ON THE CONCRETE & GRAVEL TRACK THAT RUNS NORTH FROM WILDGOOSE FARM AND EAST TO THE RESTORED GRAVEL PITS AND THE RIVER IDLE. NWT - Idle Valley NR - Access along Cross Lane Track
MANY PATHS AROUND THE IDLE VALLEY NR HAVE FREE ACCESS BUT PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ACCESS ALONG CROSS LANE TRACK IS NOW LIMITED AND A GATE HAS BEEN PUT IN PLACE TO STOP ANY ACCESS BEYOND THIS POINT. HOWEVER, IT IS STILL POSSIBLE TO VIEW THE CROSS LANE MARSH RESTORATION AREA FROM THE EAST BANK OF THE RIVER IDLE NORTH OF CHAINBRIDGE BRIDGE. Martin Fisher (IVNR - Reserve Officer)

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WALTERS LANE PIT IS PRIVATE LAND AND NO ENTRY IS ALLOWED. THIS IS A FORMER TARMAC SILT LAGOON AND IS DANGEROUS. PLEASE VIEW FROM THE LANE SIDE OR ALONG THE PERMISSIVE TRACK ALONG THE EASTERN EDGE RUNNING NORTH FROM CHAINBRIDGE LANE (BY THE LARGE OAK TREE).
CLAYWORTH COMMON IS PRIVATE FARMLAND WITH VIRTUALLY NO ACCESS. PLEASE USE EXISTING RIGHTS OF WAY ONLY. AGAIN MOST OF THE LAND HERE IS VISIBLE FROM THE RIVER BANK, CHAINBRIDGE LANE TRACK OR THE CLAYWORTH TO HAYTON ROAD
THE CONSERVATION LAKE) IS A PRIVATE RESTORED GRAVEL QUARRY THAT IS EARMARKED TO BE A FISHERY. THERE IS NO ACCESS INTO THE FENCED AREAS BUT IT IS POSSIBLE TO VIEW THE AREA FROM THE RIVER BANK OR CHAINBRIDGE LANE TRACK.
