Butterflies September 2017

The 2017 Year List stands at 23 Recorded Species. The Reserve List has 29 Recorded Species

 

Sunday 24th. There were (2) Green-veined White, a single male Brimstone, (13) Red Admiral, (2) Peacock, (2) Small Tortoiseshell and (4) Comma that were all recorded around the 'Chainbridge Lane' and 'Clayworth Common' area. (Ian Hunt, Phil Cadman)

Friday 22nd. There were (7) Large White, (2) Speckled Wood, (31) Red Admiral, (2) Peacock and (10) Comma, that were all recorded around the Northern end of the Reserve. (Tony Tomlinson)

Tuesday 19th. There were (5) Green-veined White, (2) Speckled Wood, a single Gatekeeper, (2) Peacock, and (2) Comma that were recorded around the Northern end of the Reserve. (Ian Hunt)

Tuesday 12th. There were (6) Large White, (10) Speckled Wood, (41) Red Admiral and (8) Comma, that were all recorded around the Northern end of the Reserve. (Tony Tomlinson)

Sunday 10th. There were (13) Red Admiral, that were recorded around 'Parish Park' and the 'Cross Lane Fishery'. (Phil Cadman, Ian Hunt)

Friday 8th. There was a single Comma that was noted nectaring on Blackberries around 'Bellmoor Lake'. (Phil, Josie and Ellie Cadman)

Sunday 3rd. There were (3) Green-veined White, (10) Speckled Wood and (9) Red Admiral, that were all recorded around the Northern part of the reserve. (Ian Hunt)
