Dragonflies April 2017

The 2017 Year List has 2 Recorded Species. The LBC/IVNR List has 19 Recorded Species

Sunday 23rd. The Maximum temperature was around 13°C, however, it was quite sunny as 30+ teneral Common Blue Damselfly,   made an appearance alongside the Northern side of the 'Water Ski Pit', they were the first sightings of the year and the earliest ever record. (Phil Cadman).


Sunday 9th The Maximum temperature was around 23°C. There was a single Large Red Damselfly that was observed around 'Bellmoor Lake', It was the earliest ever record of any Dragonfly at Lound. (Dave and Sue Came).
