The Daneshill Lakes NR Year List stands at 0 Recorded Species. The Daneshill Lakes Reserve List has 61 Recorded Species.

Monday 26th. The weather was fine and dry, there were scattered clouds, the temperature was around 19°C. There was a total of (12) 21.0050 Leucoptera spartifoliella (Broom Twig Miner), which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, a single 41.0030 Blastobasis lacticolella (London Dowd), a single 49.1090 Agapeta hamana (Common Yellow Conch), (8) 49.1550 Hedya salicella (White-backed Marble), (8) 49.1660 Celypha lacunana (Common Marble), singles of 49.2790 Gypsonoma dealbana (Common Cloaked Shoot), 49.2940 Notocelia uddmanniana (Bramble Shoot Moth), which was another Year 2017 Reserve Addition and 49.3450 Lathronympha strigana (Red Piercer), (6) 54.0090 Zygaena lonicerae (Narrow-bordered Five-Spot Burnet), (2) 63.0250 Anania hortulata (Small Magpie), (5) 63.0380 Pleuroptya ruralis (Mother of Pearl), which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, (3) 63.0640 Scoparia ambigualis (Common Grey), (12) 63.0800 Chrysoteuchia culmella (Garden Grass-veneer), (30) 63.0930 Agriphila straminella (Straw Grass-veneer), (2) 70.0060 Idaea fuscovenosa (Dwarf Cream Wave) which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, (3) 70.0130 Idaea biselata (Small Fan-footed Wave) and (2) 70.0131 Idaea biselata f. fimbriolata (Small Fan-footed Wave), there were singles of 70.0160 Idaea aversata (Riband Wave), which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, 70.0290 Timandra comae (Blood-vein) and 70.0740 Hydriomena furcata (July Highflyer), which was also a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, (5) 70.0450 Scotopteryx chenopodiata (Shaded Broad-bar), (13) 70.0590 Camptogramma bilineata (Yellow Shell), a single 70.1120 Euchoeca nebulata (Dingy Shell), (2) 70.1410 Gymnoscelis rufifasciata (Double-striped Pug), (25) 70.2070 Lomaspilis marginata (Clouded Border), a single 70.2180 Chiasmia clathrata (Latticed Heath), which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, (7) 70.2780 Cabera exanthemata (Common Wave), (3) 70.3050 Hemithea aestivaria (Common Emerald), which was a Year 2017 Reserve Addition, a single 72.0020 Rivula sericealis (Straw Dot) and (2) 72.0630 Lygephila pastinum (The Blackneck), which were also Year 2017 Reserve Additions, these were all recorded around the Reserve. Sunday 25th. The weather was a little cloudy and windy from the West, the temperature was around 19°C. There was a single 28.0140 Crassa unitella (Golden-brown Tubic), (only the second record for the reserve). Singles of 45.0040 Platyptilia gonodactyla (Triangle Plume), 49.0260 Pandemis heparana (Dark Fruit-tree Tortrix), 49.0600 Aleimma loeflingiana (Yellow Oak Button), 49.1090 Agapeta hamana (Common Yellow Conch) and 49.2790 Gypsonoma dealbana (Common Cloaked Shoot), reserve Year 2017 addition, (2) 49.3450 Lathronympha strigana (Red Piercer),reserve Year 2017 addition, (7) 54.0090 Zygaena lonicerae (Narrow-bordered Five-Spot Burnet), a single 63.0640 Scoparia ambigualis (Common Grey), (c35) 63.0800 Chrysoteuchia culmella (Garden Grass-veneer), (5) 63.0810 Crambus pascuella (Inlaid Grass-veneer), (c25) 63.0930 Agriphila straminella (Straw Grass-veneer), (4) 70.0130 Idaea biselata (Small Fan-footed Wave), singles of 70.0161 Idaea aversata ab. remutata (Riband Wave) and 70.0590 Camptogramma bilineata (Yellow Shell), (10) 70.2070 Lomaspilis marginata (Clouded Border), (2) 70.2770 Cabera pusaria (Common White Wave) and a single 72.0310 Tyria jacobaeae (The Cinnabar). Sunday 18th.  The weather was absolutely superb with clear skies and lots of sunshine the maximum temperature was around 31°C. There was the first 2017 Reserve Record of a single 69.0100 Macroglossum stellatarum (Hummingbird Hawk-moth) that visited the Blaco Farm and Cottages of Ken Wilson and fed on the petunias in the Hanging baskets. Monday 19th. The weather was absolutely superb with clear skies sunshine with a maximum temperature of 30°C. The following were all recorded around the reserve today, a single 49.2920 Epiblema cynosbatella (Yellow-faced Bell), (5) 54.0090 Zygaena lonicerae (Narrow-bordered Five-Spot Burnet), (4) 63.0250 Anania hortulata (Small Magpie), a single 63.0370 Udea olivalis (Olive Pearl), (c20) 63.0800 Chrysoteuchia culmella (Garden Grass-veneer), singles of 63.1140 Elophila nymphaeata (Brown China-mark), 70.0130 Idaea biselata (Small Fan-footed Wave), (3) 70.0450 Scotopteryx chenopodiata (Shaded Broad-bar), (2) 70.0540 Xanthorhoe montanata (Silver-ground Carpet), singles of 70.0590 Camptogramma bilineata (Yellow Shell), 70.1000 Colostygia pectinataria (Green Carpet), 70.2780 Cabera exanthemata (Common Wave) and 72.0020 Rivula sericealis (Straw Dot). The 69.0100 Macroglossum stellatarum (Hummingbird Hawk-moth) made a second visit to the Blaco Farm and Cottages of Ken Wilson. (Ian Hunt, Ken Wilson.)
