A Collective Total of 175 Species have been recorded thus far to 31/12/2012

 

 

 

Monday 31st. Andy Shooter(147) at last caught up with the WATER RAIL around Bellmoor Lake. whilst Gary Hobson(148) submitted his final file of the year which included WATER RAIL, COMMON SCOTER, JACK SNIPE, NUTHATCH and RED KNOT.

Friday 28th. Phil Cadman(160) at last caught up with the BOHEMIAN WAXWING when Martin Warne found 19 birds at the top of the Willow trees on the North East edge of 'Bellmoor Lake', unfortunately they didn’t stay long and flew off North West.

Sunday 23rd. Andy Shooter(146) observed a superb ROUGH-LEGGED BUZZARD as it flew South West over Bellmoor lake towards Babworth.

Tuesday 18th. Phil Cadman(159), moved back into joint second place when adding the JACK SNIPE that was re-located on the island at 'Bellmoor Lake'. Ian Hunt (153) and Des Roberts (131) also added the JACK SNIPE and BARN OWL.

Wednesday 12th. Martin Warne(159) moved clear into second place when adding three BOHEMIAN WAXWING that flew West over 'Chainbridge Pit' towards Lound village.

Species Recorded in 2011 up to the end of December that have not yet been recorded in 2012 are Little Stint, Curlew Sandpiper, Eurasian Dotterel, Broad-billed Sandpiper, Caspian Gull, European Spoonbill and Red-necked Grebe.
